Technical Intern Process

The Shin Nihon International Human Resources Development Cooperative is based in Yatsushiro, Kumamoto, Japan and is involved in training personnel who are looking to work in nursing under the Foreign Nursing Technical Intern Program of Japan in order to improve the level of nursing they can provide in their home countries.
With our comprehensive know-how and facilities and our practical training classes, we will help you during your time in Japan.

At Home
Apply to an intern dispatching agency in your home country.
Selection/Decision
  • We have partnerships with agencies throughout Asia, including in Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines, and China.
Learn Japanese
from an Expert Instructor(specialized study at a Japanese language school in your country)
  • Master the minimum skills needed to hold simple conversations in Japanese (dormitories available).
    Curriculum features all you need to know, including lessons on Japanese language, culture, nursing terminology, and more!
Interview with Accepting Company
  • Only applicants who have passed the preliminary dispatching agency/JIH interview become technical intern candidates.

  • We will handle all registration needed to stay in Japan at no extra charge! We will also provide you with travel expenses needed both when coming to and leaving Japan!

A condition for staying in Japan is that interns must have passed at least the N4 JLPT or possess equivalent skills.

Group Training (1 Month)
  • You will both be provided with a place to live and money for living expenses during your training!
    Learn practical care techniques by training at one of our experienced care facilities!
Start of Technical Internship
  • Receive at least JPY130,000 per month after deductions! Includes fully furnished place to live with no need to pay contract fees or rent!
  • Cost of living in Kyushu is very cheap and there are lots of things to do and see on your days off!
Certification Examination

Fundamentals (both practical exam and written exam required)

  • You can work as a technical intern in Japan for a maximum of five years!

Working for a 4th and 5th year is only available for interns with agencies and intern programs assessed as excellent.
